Books!

Each of these is on my TBR. They have a strong female lead who overcomes, exceeds, or is generally inspiring! Let's read together!

Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros

Good Girl by Aria Aber
Literary Fiction / Coming-of-age. Nila, a 19-year-old daughter of Afghan refugees in Berlin, tries to navigate artistic ambition, identity, desire, and marginalization — she pushes against external expectations and internal doubts. Good Girl

This Is the Year by Gloria Muñoz
YA / Climate Fiction / Speculative. Set in a near-future impacted by climate change, it features a young female lead (immigrant or from an immigrant family) confronting environmental disaster and social injustice; her struggle isn’t only external but involves navigating both identity and a collapsing world. This Is the Year

Red Sonja: Consumed by Gail Simone
Fantasy / Sword & Sorcery. Red Sonja is a classic “survivor turned warrior” figure. In this novel, she grapples with supernatural threats and her past, showing physical and emotional strength amid violence, loss, and vengeance.
Red Sonja: Consumed

Secret Society of Kings, Witches and Spirits by Farhana Uddin

Big Life Update!

Now that the novels are out in the world, I'm thrilled to announce I'm working as a Fractional Chief Marketing Officer, and honestly? Everything in my career has been building to this moment. I work with trust-critical service companies (financial services, healthcare, legal, consulting, etc.) that have hit growth walls. I align with the CEO to solve problems by building systematic growth engines and retention programs, leading marketing teams, and creating ROI roll-ups that connect spend and effort to revenue.

I'm welcoming introductions to established companies that know their reputation is everything, but need someone who can translate that trust into systematic, scalable growth without losing what makes them special.

With gratitude,

Corinne
